King Kong is a classic 1933 adventure film directed by Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack. The story follows a film crew led by Carl Denham to the mysterious Skull Island to make a film. While there, they discover a giant gorilla named King Kong who has been worshiped by the native islanders. After capturing Kong, Denham takes him back to New York City to display him to the public. Unfortunately, Kong escapes and rampages through the city, searching for young woman, Ann Darrow, whom he has become attracted to. In the end, Kong is killed trying to protect Ann from airplanes that are shooting at him. The film is an iconic classic and is often cited as one of the earliest examples of special effects in film.

With the help of her friends, Laurie must confront her own fears and stay one step ahead of Michael as he continues his relentless pursuit of her.

Dead Alive is a horror-comedy film directed by Peter Jackson and released in 1992. The movie tells the story of Lionel Cosgrove, a mild-mannered and socially awkward young man who lives with his overbearing mother, Vera. When Vera brings home a cursed Sumatran Rat-Monkey, Lionel’s troubles really begin. The monkey bites Vera, turning her into a zombie, and soon the house becomes filled with the undead. It’s up to Lionel to battle the undead hordes and save himself, his girlfriend, and his mother. Along the way, Lionel overcomes his timid nature and discovers his inner strength and courage. With plenty of gory special effects and outlandish situations, Dead Alive is a wild ride full of dark humor and suspense.
