The Thing is a 1982 horror-science fiction movie directed by John Carpenter. Set in the remote Antarctic, a group of researchers find themselves under siege from an alien life form that can assume the shape and appearance of any living thing it assimilates. It quickly becomes a fight for survival as the researchers attempt to prevent the creature from escaping and destroying the world. As paranoia builds and tensions rise, the group must band together to defeat the monstrous Thing before it reaches civilization. The movie stars Kurt Russell, Wilford Brimley, T. K. Carter, David Clennon, Keith David, and Richard Dysart.

"Let The Right One In" is a Swedish romantic horror film directed by Tomas Alfredson, based on the novel of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist. The story takes place in a quiet suburb of Stockholm in the early 1980s, and follows the relationship between Oskar, a bullied and lonely 12-year-old boy, and Eli, a mysterious girl who moves in next door. Oskar discovers that Eli is a vampire and the two become close friends, with Eli helping Oskar stand up to his bullies. Meanwhile, a series of grisly murders in the area have the police stumped as to who the perpetrator is. As Oskar and Eli's friendship deepens, darker secrets are revealed and the mystery of Eli's identity is slowly unraveled. Ultimately it is revealed that Eli is indeed a vampire, and that she has been living in the area for centuries, living off the blood of the locals. The film follows Oskar and Eli's relationship as they try to find a way to be together, while also attempting to keep their dark secrets hidden.

Train to Busan is a 2016 South Korean action-horror film directed by Sang-ho Yeon. The film follows a group of passengers who are on board a train from Seoul to Busan during a zombie apocalypse. The film follows Seok-woo (Gong Yoo), a divorced, workaholic fund manager, who is taking his daughter, Su-an (Kim Su-an), to see her mother in Busan. Along the way, they encounter a group of survivors, including a homeless man, a pregnant woman, and a high school baseball team. As the zombie outbreak intensifies, the passengers must band together to survive and fight off the hordes of zombies to reach the safety of Busan. As they battle their way through the zombie hordes, they must also contend with the dangerous and selfish behavior of some of the passengers as they struggle to stay alive and reach their destination.
