What We Do in the Shadows is a mockumentary style comedy about a group of vampires who live together in Wellington, New Zealand. The vampires are Viago (Taika Waititi), Vladislav (Jemaine Clement), Deacon (Jonathan Brugh), and Petyr (Ben Fransham). The film follows them as they attempt to keep up with the modern world and fight over mundane things like chores, who gets the most blood, and who gets to sleep in the best coffin. Meanwhile, they must also keep their identities secret from the human world. The film is filled with humor and absurdity, as the vampires grapple with the everyday challenges of living together and staying out of the sunlight.
