Trust is a 2018 Italian drama film directed by Emanuele Crialese. The film follows the story of a family living in a small fishing village in Sicily, who are struggling to make ends meet. After the death of their father, the eldest daughter, Maria (played by Miriam Leone), decides to take control of the family and make the best of their difficult situation. She soon discovers that her father was part of a criminal conspiracy, and she is forced to make difficult decisions to protect her family. With the help of her two brothers, Maria must confront the forces of the criminal underworld, and ultimately, she must decide if she is willing to place her trust in the people around her, even if it means risking her life.
