Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is a 2003 action-adventure comedy film directed by Gore Verbinski, based on Walt Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney theme parks. The film stars Johnny Depp as the eccentric pirate Captain Jack Sparrow, and Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley as Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, two characters whose fates are tied with Jack's. The film follows the swashbuckling adventures of Jack and his crew as they attempt to recapture the cursed Black Pearl from a ruthless pirate named Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush). Joined by Elizabeth and Will, Jack embarks on a thrilling voyage filled with battles, sword fights, and a legendary curse that the crew must face if they want to save their lives and souls. Along the way, Jack must also battle his own inner demons and confront the powerful forces of the East India Trading Company. Fantasia is a 1940 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney and released by Walt Disney Productions. Music critic and composer Deems Taylor acts as the film's master of ceremonies, providing a live-action introduction to each animated segment. The film's story is simple, as it is mostly an introduction to the various segments. The film begins with a live-action introduction, which is then followed by the animated segments, each of which is introduced by Deems Taylor. Pinocchio is a 1940 Disney animated musical fantasy film based on the Italian children's novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi.
